About

ABOUT

Each month, the Zurich Speaker Series on Moral Responsibility hosts a guest speaker—in the past, in person at the University of Zurich’s Center for Ethics, and these days, online. Topics covered include the relationship between moral responsibility and free will, moral luck, reactive atittudes like praise and blame, different “faces” of moral responsibility like attributability and accountability, moral responsibility for attitudes, moods, and beliefs, and more.

All events will take place online via Zoom. For a link to the sessions, please contact us at zmr@philos.uzh.ch. The number of participants is limited.

Papers are pre-circulated, and attendees of the speaker series are expected to read papers in advance. To get added to the mailing list, contact zmr@philos.uzh.ch.

Speakers will also offer professional development sessions in conjunction with their visits on topics like publishing, the academic job market, conferences, and women in philosophy. For more information about these sessions, please email us.
